Beyond the Interface.

The work is only part of the story.

Hi, I'm Korede (most people call me Kodal).

I'm a Product Designer & Design Engineer based in Lagos. Right now I lead design — part-time — at ALN Logistics, a live delivery platform serving customers, riders, and operations in Benin City, Nigeria, and I build my own products end to end. Before that, I led multi-product design at Parousia West Africa across fintech, payments, and e-commerce. On my own products I go further — I design them and build them, using AI-native engineering to ship the thing I designed.

I enjoy taking complex ideas and turning them into products that feel simple, intuitive, and genuinely useful.

How it Started

I didn't plan on becoming a designer.

I studied Biology, graduating with a 4.47 CGPA, and thought my career would follow a completely different path. Somewhere between lectures, lab reports, and research, I discovered product design — and everything changed.

What started as curiosity quickly became an obsession. I became fascinated by how thoughtful design could solve real problems, simplify complexity, and create experiences people actually enjoy using.

Looking back, Biology taught me how to think critically. Design taught me how to apply that thinking to products people use every day.

How I Work

I don't believe good design starts in Figma. It starts with asking better questions.

Before opening a design file, I spend time understanding the business, the users, and the problem we're actually trying to solve. The goal isn't to make interfaces look beautiful — it's to build products that work, scale, and create measurable impact.

My process is simple: Understand deeply. Simplify relentlessly. Iterate quickly.

What I'm Building

Outside client work, I enjoy building products of my own.

The biggest one right now is GradPath — a platform helping students manage graduate school applications without relying on messy spreadsheets or scattered notes. It's my first product, and I designed, engineered, and shipped the MVP myself. It's now live.

This is the direction I'm committed to: design engineering — designing products and building them myself with AI-native tooling, so strategy, UX, and shipped code stay in one head instead of being handed off. GradPath is the clearest proof of it so far: designed, engineered, and launched solo. I'm fascinated by what happens when great design meets great tooling.

Beyond Design

When I'm not designing, you'll probably find me doing one of these:

  • Debating Manchester United's latest performance like I'm part of the coaching staff.
  • Playing FIFA or Call of Duty "for one game" that somehow becomes five.
  • Sketching fashion ideas — and occasionally bringing them to life with a sewing machine.
  • Experimenting with AI, learning new technologies, or building something just because I'm curious.
  • Discovering music that ends up on repeat for weeks.

At the end of the day, I care about building products people enjoy using and teams enjoy building.

I'm always drawn to ambitious ideas, thoughtful people, and products with meaningful problems worth solving.
